@GeoJosh  ,

Did the ability to use Group Managed Service accounts to run ArcGIS Monitor agents stop at 2024.0?

@CharlotteNCIT, it did not. GMSAs are still supported.

@GeoJosh ,

So when installing the new Agent for 2024.0 using the preexisting GMSA account that has been running the older versions it would not install. Anything you recommend checking? The GMSA account still has access to the servers and nothing has changed.

In order to be helpful, I will need more context about what you mean by "would not install". Is the installer failing? Are you seeing an error message?

@CharlotteNCIT,

We are not able to reproduce this behavior in house. Two action items here:

1. Submit a case with Esri Support to investigate further.

2. Install as another account (domain or local, non-gMSA), then manually switch the service account via Windows Services if the installation is successful. =

Thanks,

Josh

Hey @GeoJosh ,

I have already tried #2 with our original domain account and have switched over to the gmsa. The service will start but the Monitor Agent background process will not spin up.

I can easily installed 2023 or earlier and install/run the agent without any issues using the same gmsa on the same servers.
