Where would you go to update name field so it shows the Name associated with the ID? Is it possible to change what attributes are in the notification?

Hi @Galada_321,
No, there are no changes to email notifications in the forthcoming Monitor 2023.2 release. The 2023.2 release will be a minor update with a focus on database partitioning.
Hope this helps,
Heads up everyone,
For your reference, here are the two enhancements that helps with this behavior:
I'm still very keen on ENH-000159627. I was hoping it being in product plan for over a year would have some further news by now.
How is everyone else managing their email alert notifications?
Have you just accepted that the name is NA? Or have you created dozens of custom notifications for each metric or component instead of using collections?
Timo
Our organization was also a little bummed with the limited email notification functionality. In the meantime, I thought I'd share a tiny workaround to this for everyone else.
The notification name is included as the email subject line, so I've created around 5 different notifications so far with different names so I can tell at a glance in my inbox what has happened.
In my email, I see the following:
100% not ideal but at least I can at a glance know what the alert is for. Probably only good for smaller deployments like mine, unless you're okay with managing a bunch of these notifications. Hopefully we see this functionality fleshed out a bit in future updates. I'll probably keep doing it this way in the meantime..
I agree with most here that this needs to be addressed. Notification are pretty much useless unless you set up a notification for every alert possibility. For me minimum is name, but really feel it should be configurable for name, State, opened at, Closed at, duration, Type, Subtype, and description. Comments might also be helpful but i could see where that might be out of scope.
All,
FYI, there are some enhancements to email notifications in the ArcGIS Monitor 2024.1 release. Please see the What's New in ArcGIS Monitor 2024.1 release blog.
Hope this helps,
This is incredible! Thanks so much @DerekLaw and team for implementing this.
We're very excited to test it out.
Best,
Amanda
