It would be good if ArcGIS Monitor could have the option to be installed with ArcGIS Web Adapter in front, so you don't have to access Monitor on port 30443.

Many organisations will not allow non-standard ports (e.g., 30443) to be open and only allow HTTPS 443 and RDP 3389.

Having the ability to configure the ArcGIS Web Adapter in front of Monitor would enable access on HTTPS 443 like other ArcGIS Server components and be compliant with organisation security policies.

Hello @RobertAkroyd1

ArcGIS Monitor 10.8.1 can work on port 443 (https), when installed it is defined; if you have a different one it could be that when it was installed it was defined that way, or already on that server the port was in use and that is why it has changed to another.

If you want to use a server in front and using another DNS, would be to configure on the web server (IIS, Tomcat, NGINX etc) a reverse proxy to take care of performing the redirection.

Ah, sorry, forgot to mention this is an idea for ArcGIS Monitor 2023 - I am currently testing the beta2 release.

@RobertAkroyd1 ah ok, np.

In case it is not supported to configure using port 443 once it is released, I think an alternative would be to use the reverse proxy option mentioned above.

It would be convenient to add the idea in the early-adopter forum.

Regards.
