Being able to monitor the number of outstanding edits in a version lineage could help us deal with users who wait too long or "forget" to post their edits.
For example, if User A makes 5 edits over the course of the day without rec / posting, it's not a big deal.
If User B is making 30+ edits in the morning without rec / posting they might need an automated reminder to do so.
