Our planet is swimming in data. What we sometimes lack is the information derived from data that can drive decisions.
A new collaboration between the UN, GEO Blue Planet, and Esri is using observations to drive better decision making and planning in support of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) brought special recognition to this project by awarding it the 2020 GEO Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Award for the Special Category, Collaboration to Keith VanGraafeiland (Esri), along with other team members.

Love the ocean?
A stunning storymap developed by the Esri Living Atlas Team in collaboration with its project partners at GEO Blue Planet, the United Nations Environment Programme, NOAA, and Plymouth Marine Laboratory, that is superbly interesting!!
