In the latest ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud 3.0 release, one of the major features is ArcGIS Enterprise support. Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud: Version 3.0 supports ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9 and later.

ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud is an extension for Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop that allows cartographers and graphic designers to design data-driven maps and layers from ArcGIS. Signing in with your ArcGIS organizational account allows access to all the extension's content and advanced features, based on the privileges associated with your assigned user type (ViewerEditorCreator, or GIS Professional).

With the new ArcGIS Enterprise experience, an ArcGIS Enterprise administrator can configure your Maps for Adobe experience (content and service settings) to meet your organization’s requirements. With this new enhancement, GIS administrators can enable cartographers and extend the reach of GIS to their greater organization.

Although there are many ways to configure your ArcGIS Enterprise portal, there are a few key areas that will primarily impact your Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud workflows. These areas include:

Let’s take a closer look at each of these areas.

Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud is directly impacted by many ArcGIS Enterprise portal services including printing, geocoding, geometric calculations, and routing services. To have these functionalities fully operational in your Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud environment, you must ensure these settings are properly configured in your ArcGIS Enterprise portal.

Affected functionalities include applying a custom projection, geocoding points or plotting data from local files, and use of the Visualize Route functionality. The table below shows customizable ArcGIS Enterprise portal services and their functionalities within the extension. More information regarding configuring your utilities can also be found here.

Within the ArcGIS Enterprise portal, you’ll also be able to configure layers to highlight specific content. In the Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud extension, this can determine which layers the users of your ArcGIS Enterprise portal are able to add and utilize. You can choose to show content only shared to a specific group or display all content within your organization. You can also configure subscriber and premium content from ArcGIS Living Atlas of the World to make this ArcGIS Online collection available within your ArcGIS Enterprise portal.

Another key configuration to note is your ArcGIS Enterprise organization’s basemap gallery. The basemaps from your gallery are present throughout your extension workflows, in both the Mapboard and Compilation windows. One example of utilizing this configuration could be to only display custom basemaps to your ArcGIS Enterprise Organization’s users. In the example below you can see the difference between configuring the Default ArcGIS Enterprise basemap gallery, and a custom gallery called "EnterpriseBasemapTest".

Finally, Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud supports ArcGIS Enterprise instances that are deployed to a disconnected environment.  For a summary list of what you can expect with a disconnected environment and related configuration recommendations, see the ArcGIS Enterprise help topic Configure a disconnected deployment. When one of the services listed above is not available or accessible, you'll get an applicable message in the extension that informs you of this limitation.
