Hi  - a year or two ago you could download American Community Survey data in geodatabase format with attributes by state from https://www.census.gov/geo/maps-data/data/tiger-data.html.  This site no longer exists.  Does anybody know where you can get this data now?  I'm trying to get the 2014 - 2018 5 year Blockgroup estimate for California with attributes.   I've tried data.census.gov but I just can't seem to find it

Thanks

Pete

Hi Pete,

I think the new site is here: https://www.census.gov/geographies/mapping-files/time-series/geo/tiger-geodatabase-file.html and that you're interested in the Sub-State Geography one.

I unfortunately don't know what the Census Bureau's plans are for releasing the attributes you're interested in.

Thank You Diana - I'll keep searching for the attributes.  The google searches I've done keep leading me to a site where you make calls to an api to get the data -- it sure was easier before.

I was able to get total population by block group at data.census.gov.  The link for my data was:

https://data.census.gov/cedsci/table?q=B01001%3A%20SEX%20BY%20AGE&tid=ACSDT5Y2018.B01001&hidePreview...

I could then filter by county.  Still need to do some parsing of the geoid so the table can be joined to geometry -- but at least its still there!
