New texture tile layers have been added to ArcGIS Living Atlas, making for some really cool creative effects. The layers are discussed in Texture Tiles - a blog article by John Nelson.
While these are layers on top of your basemap, you can also move them to your basemap to composite them with other basemap layers for some really interesting effects, and add other operationals layers on top. Make a map with these and add them to your custom basemap gallery.
