In the Reporter Instant App, if there are other layers in the map and one has turned off their popups in the webmap, this has no effect when using the app.  It does not honor this.  Has anybody found a workaround for this?

@ChelseaRozek I was able to repro the behavior and logged an issue. Thanks for reporting it

Hi @ChelseaRozek This issue is fixed in the recent AGOL release. Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

Here is the blog to review new features this release. https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-online/constituent-engagement/whats-new-in-reporter...

Hi @SubaKrishnan ,  thanks for pointing that out to me, I appreciate it. I tried it out and can see popups now, however they don't adhere to the settings from the webmap. I have popups turned off on a layer, but they still show up in the Reporter app. I have only two fields showing in another layer's popup, but I can see them all in the Reporter app. I tried making a new Reporter app from the same webmap, and I see the same behavior. It's the same layers as before: a map service published to our own ArcGIS server. Let me know if you'd like some screenshots.

Hi Chelsea. I'm glad that you're seeing the popups now. For the second issue, I'd like to know more. Are you referring to reporting or non reporting layers? Is that a hosted layer or map server layers? If you can send the map and app I can look into it, or some screenshots will help me too. Thanks!

@SubaKrishnan They are non-reporting layers on the map for reference and are map server layers not hosted on ArcGIS Online. The app is here. If you zoom in (try bottom right corner), orange hatching and blue drain lines will appear. They should have very simple popups, but unfortunately everything is seen, like OBJECTID. Here's how it looks in the webmap, just 5 attributes with no OBJECTID on the orange hatching:

Hi @ChelseaRozek

Yay! Thank you for confirming the bug fix.

Since you’re an active user of the Reporter app, I’d love to get your thoughts on an approach we’re exploring. We’ve heard from several users that capturing a location’s address and automatically populating it in the form is important to their workflow. Currently, Reporter doesn’t support reverse geocoding for anonymous users because storing results from the ArcGIS World Geocoder consumes credits.

Survey123 handles this by allowing organizations to store credentials with their own locator so credits are charged appropriately.

We’re considering adding a similar option in Reporter, allowing organizations to configure their own locator instead of relying on the ArcGIS World Geocoder. This would avoid credit use and remove the sign-in requirement.

Would this approach work for your workflow, or are there other ways you’d prefer to capture the reporter’s address?

Thanks,

Suba

Hi @SubaKrishnan

That sounds like it would work for us. We wouldn't be submitting outside of our county, so our address locator should be enough. We only use Reporter in this one application, which is submitting drain requests (like flooding issues). The address is less important to us than the XY of the point, as the drains cross many parcels, but as we do already ask for the address, it would be nice if it could save the submitter time when filling out the questions. We would probably still add in a manual-entry address field for a mailing address for follow-up materials we snail mail them.

Great. thank you. I noted your feedback. If you've not already, please check out the blog focused on simplifying configuration and improving the user experience in reporter.
