Hi,

We are a small municipality and are looking to create an interactive map for public use where people can view layers, turn them on and off, export to a map, etc. Is a web map in Map Viewer a good product in which to do this? Are there any Instant Apps that would be better for this application? Any input is appreciated, I want to build the best product for the public. Have you found any other product superior for this in the ArcGIS framework?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Maury

I use Experience Builder & dashboards for this.

Hi Laura,

Thanks for the response. Do you have a link you can send of one built? I have never used Experience Builder & Dashboards.

This is my public site: https://city-of-mason-city-gis-department-masoncityiowa.hub.arcgis.com.
My internal site includes additional configuration and interactive dashboard inputs with more analysis, but this gives you a general idea of the setup.

You can also accomplish this with Instant Apps like the Media app or Sidebar. Here's an example of a Media map with the layer list and export tools enabled.
