Insights for ArcGIS Ignoring Spatial Information

I have made a feature service from some points. They are not multipoints. They look fine in the mxd. The feature service looks fine in portal map, but in Insights, it comes in only as a table. There is a legend for the features in the map, but there are no features displayed. I've gone looking for them and not had any luck.

I can chart them, but not see them.

I tried to add location information by indicating x-coord, y-coord, and coordinate sytem.

This is the error message I got word for word:

Something went wrong.

So, I'm at a bit of an impasse.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thank you very much.,

Is this an ArcGIS Server service or a hosted feature layer? If server service then what is the RDBMS? What version is Insights and ArcGIS Server / Portal? What is the data's spatial reference?

Thanks,

It is an Oracle-based SDE layer. My admin guy informed me that I have to use a hosted feature service for Insights to work. This did work.

Insights (Enterprise) supports Oracle database connections.

Supported databases—Insights reference | ArcGIS  If you are using ST_Geometry then you will have to configure Oracle to use ST_Geometry. How To: Check if the Oracle extproc is set up correctly for direct ST_GEOMETRY SQL queries
