I'm looking for suggestions on how to best utilize Space Planner with the following situation:
My Facilities team needs to assign a new employee a desk.
The new employee does not show up in our firm directory until after their first day. I run Update Occupants from our firm directory nightly.
How do we best "hold" units for new employees?
The new employee desk is shared with IT and HR to ensure their desk is setup correctly.
I was thinking of adding generic occupants such as New Staff 1 so Facilities can place them on the map.
But then my auto Update Occupants tool won't include New Staff 1.
Do I need two Occupant layers in my dataset? With one being only temporary assignments?
Anyone have a similar situation?
