Detail ID from BIM Import

I imported a BIM file into an Indoors Dataset. My Detail ID populated with the Use Type followed by a long set of characters. 

Is it possible to find where the long set of characters originated from?
How can I set the Detail ID to populate sequentially when importing from BIM?

Hi @MelissaSalich, the highlighted ID is the external ID for the corresponding feature in the source Revit model. It helps ensure the uniqueness of the Indoors ID field value. May I ask what you are using this field for that requires a sequential number instead?
