Hi all, so i am new to Pixel Editor, and i have been trying to remove clouds in a Planet imagery using Pixel Editor. I was able to create the cloud boundaries by converting the UDM2.tiff into a polygon feature class (consists of 19 cloud boundary polygon features).

so under mode i selected new

Under Region i selected Feature to Region

now if i click any where inside any one of the cloud boundary polygon, will Pro automatically select the 19 cloud boundary polygons as regions?

Under Capture > Click Replace

Another thing i have noticed is that Pro does not give me the Save option after clicking replace, it always stays grayed out. Same goes for Discard as well.

Is this the right way to do this or should i select Add To under Mode and then select Polygon under Region and then draw multiple polygon regions around the clouds and then click replace?

So i think i got it

  1. Under Mode select New
  2. Under Region select Polygon
  3. Draw polygon around the clouds
  4. Under capture select Replace
  5. Pro will replace the Pixel values with the source raster pixel values
  6. Click outside the drawn polygon, Pro will show a pop-up showing it's processing the raster.
  7. Draw the next polygon region, this time you don't have select Replace under Capture, Pro will automatically replace clouds with the source pixel values. Then click outside the polygon to finish processing.
  8. Once done click Save, it takes a while to save the edits.
