It would be really nice to have the ability to style how my story maps look being shared via social media without having to download the code and edit the Open Graph meta tags and self-host them.  A small menu option for editing these in the Story Map itself where a title, description, and picture could be uploaded would be ideal.  In fact, being able to set this for all apps would be nice.

Hi Kara -- For the classic storytelling templates (Journal, Tour, Series, Cascade, etc.) downloading and modifying the code is the only way to improve how a story looks when shared on social media.

But have you tried ArcGIS StoryMaps? All stories created with the latest generation story builder automatically get nice social metatags based on the story information.

For example, here's how this story looks when shared on social. The author didn't have to do anything special to make it look this way other than create and publish a story. Please try it and let us know what you think!

Owen, I've used it but not much, mostly due to it not being self-hostable.  Can you choose what information and picture shows up in the tags?
