We recently released the beta phase of workspaces. With this release, we are changing how you interact with surveys in ArcGIS Hub. Again, this is a beta release, and users can opt in or out of this new experience.

What is changing?
Current state
In the current Hub setup, you can:
- Create a new survey from the site's new menu.
- Create a new survey from the site's layout editor.
- Add an existing survey to the site from the layout editor.
- Make design and content updates for new surveys.
- Make design and content updates to existing surveys using the Edit button.Current state
Changes with workspaces opt-in
If you opt-in for workspaces, you will notice these changes:
- The Edit button (pencil icon) will be replaced by a Manage settings (gear icon).
- Select the Manage settings button to launch a survey workspace.
- Update existing surveys from the following workspace panes:
- Details: Update basic information.
- Collaborators: Add view and edit groups.
- Settings: Display a survey as map-focused or standard.
- View a survey’s pageview statistics from the Dashboard pane.
- Launch Survey123:
- Launch Survey123 from the survey workspace panes.
- Make design updates:
- Make extensive design updates to the survey in Survey123 (no longer possible in Hub).
- Creating new surveys:
- Create a new survey in Survey123 (no longer possible in Hub).
- You can still add an existing survey from the layout editor to the site.
