Waze has recently made some changes to the Waze Data Feed links which can impact the usage of the Waze Connector for GeoEvent Server. The product team is working to create a new version of that connector with updated documentation which should be available in the next few weeks, but we wanted to share a simple workaround that can be applied on existing GeoEvent Server inputs to restore those connections.
In order to proceed with the adjustments to the Waze input it will be required that you have the new format URLs. These can be obtained from Waze with the following steps:
- Log in to the Waze Partner Hub.
- Locate the links to your feeds on the Waze Data Feed screen.
- Copy and paste these links into any applications you use to view or store the Waze Data Feed.
The new URL should look similar to the following:
https://www.waze.com/row-partnerhub-api/partners/116773849/waze-feeds/646a7d93-6e34-42ca-b3aa-154879...
Once you have this updated URL you will need to open the Waze input connector and expand the Advanced properties portion of the configuration. You will then replace the default URL property with the new one provided by Waze as shown in the screenshots below:
You will still need to provide some values in the Waze CCP Token and Waze CCP Partner Name fields (shown above with the value of “test”) but these properties are now encoded in the URL provided by Waze.
We will update this blog to let you know once the updated connector has been released but if there are any questions in the interim, please reach out to our team at GeoEventServer@esri.com.
