Hi all, I am looking at using GeoBIM.

When our BIM 360 admin was authorizing the software we noticed that GeoBIM asks for write privileges within BIM 360. Should this be concerning me?

BIM 360 is our system of record for BIM data and direct write access is rarely something we would consider.

Is there actually a change wrote back to the BIM model?

Hi @Treavon, when an Admin enables the integration on the Autodesk side, the privileges for write permissions is for the BIM 360 Issues writing capability. This privilege will not overwrite any model files stored within your BIM 360 account, but will add new 'issues' to the database stored in BIM 360. For example, you can create a new issue in ArcGIS GeoBIM that fills out the fields for the feedback item related to coordination or other information types, and places a point in the map or scene view. This saves the new issue back to Autodesk so that it's maintained in relation to the other coordination items stored in Autodesk. When completing this process, the user selects a related document or model file in that area so that it has an association back to the related model. However, this is not changing any of the model data stored within Autodesk; it's a way to help add more items for discussion and resolution about the project or asset. Please let me know if you have more questions on this topic.
