There are some usability issues with ArcGIS Mobile, I hope these can be fixed in a future release:


  • When I reopen a project with 3 Mobile Caches, all mobile caches seem to reference the same source folder. 2 out of 3 don't match, of course, so these are reported as having an invalid checksum. After 'fixing' this, I have to remove these two caches and re-add the original ones

  • When adding a mobile cache, MPC does not remember the last selected folder, so I always have to browse to my specific folder. Opening the Add Map Layers dialog can take a *long* time

  • Sometime moving mapcached up and down works, sometime it doesn't

Agreed. I also hope that there can be some kind of indication that something is loading, ie when adding map services, when I enter a URL I have no idea if it is loading, if there are no maps to load, etc. I think that there should be some kind of visual cue that it is doing something.


Edit: Add/Modify features as a default task would also be nice.
