Switching cameras in ArcGIS Mobile

Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to switch the default camera app that ArcGIS for Windows Mobile uses when taking pictures?

I'm running Mobile V 10.1.1.0 on an ASUS Windows 8 tablet.  The tablet's default camera app (the Windows Camera) doesn't take geotagged photos.  However, Asus has added its own camera app, which utilizes the GPS in the tablet, and takes geotagged photos.

When ArcMobile takes pictures, it defaults to the Windows camera app, but I'd like to switch it to the Asus camera app.  Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?  I can't seem to find the options in any settings, both on the ArcMobile side and the Windows side of things.

Thanks,
Brendan

I think you have to program an app/interface by your-self for that. There is as I recall an issue with Windows 8 and Mobile regarding the camera function and it is more a windows issue than an ESRI.

When you choose to add an attachment, and then take a photo, underneath the picture from the webcam there is a menu button.  You can push that and then push switch cameras, this might let you use the other software.

I am having a different problem, where I can take a picture using the laptops internal camera, but when I try and switch to an external webcam (Logitech C300 with all drivers etc installed) ArcGIS Mobile 3.1 (Installed on an HP Elitebook 8770w Win7 Pro) crashes.

Also, the video refresh rate from the internal camera is very bad in ArcGIS Mobile, while it is great in Microsoft Lync or other pieces of software that use video.
