Gobi and windows tablet/laptop

Has anyone worked with Gobi (verizon, sprint or ATT) on getting GPS data. Is this supported with ArcGIS Mobile 10 on a windows platform. We are looking at laptops and tablets and most have Gobi 2000 which has GPS capabilities. I am a newbie to GPS was was wondering if using Gobi is a valid solution or do I need a delicated GPS device.

I have some Panasonic U1 tablet PCs and they have GOBI GPS units, and I do believe I have inadvertently used that GPS a few times.
It would appear that the GOBI GPS is a valid GPS unit to be used, but I personally use an external GPS, the Trimble ProXH for high accuracy.
