Trial before purchase?

The ESRI Blog release for SAP BusinessObjects  had a question about a trial period that was unanswered so I thought I would repeat the question here. 

Earlier replies in the blog post indicated you must first purchase the software before it was available in the Customer Care Portal.  We have a team interested in the product but it would be nice to confirm the product works as desired for our users *BEFORE* purchasing. Is this possible? - Thanks

  We are currently looking at ways to enable a trial version for evaluation purposes, but there will be nothing available in the immediate future. If you care to send me your contact details via the Forums private messaging system, I can work with you to see how we can get a proof of concept going in your environment.
