I am a newbie to power bi.  I need to display lines using the Azure map format in Power BI.  Is there a good instruction place for me to go and follow steps?  I have a geojson/json/shp files that I tried messing around with but couldn't see how lines could be created.  What is best practice?

Hi @EricS ,

Thanks very much for your question! Good try on mapping these data! We support EsriJSON for mapping lines data. In the future, geojson will be supported but not for now. SHP file cannot be directly uploaded in ArcGIS for Power BI. I'm not sure where your SHP file is from. But if you are an ArcGIS users, you can directly add layers from ArcGIS by sign in to ArcGIS for Power BI.

Here's a storymap that shows how to map the location/geometry data with words and some short videos.
