Hi Everyone,

I'm facing a compatibility problem between ArcGIS for Power BI and my Ethernet adapter, and I was wondering if anyone here has encountered a similar issue and found a solution.

Basically, whenever I try to use ArcGIS for Power BI with the Ethernet adapter, I experience frequent connectivity problems and sluggish performance. The application freezes or crashes, making it nearly impossible to work efficiently.

I've tried using different Ethernet adapters, but the problem persists. Strangely enough, when I switch to Wi-Fi, everything works fine without any hiccups. However, I prefer the stability and faster data transfer rate of the Ethernet connection.

I've checked for driver updates and even tested the software on different machines with various Ethernet adapters, but the issue remains unresolved.

If any of you have experienced a similar problem or have any suggestions or workarounds, I'd greatly appreciate your input. Switching to Wi-Fi permanently isn't a practical solution for me.

This question is probably best directed to your IT department as they will be able to determine the path and stability of your connection through fire walls etc.

I do agree that this needs to be looked at by your IT department. However, it would also be good to know whether the wider Power BI application has the same issue? As if it does, you may want to reach out to Microsoft as well.
