Currently, it is possible to join a spatial dataset from power BI to a reference layer from arcgis online. You are then able to select features from the joined layer, and this filters the other power bi visualisations based on the power BI data, which works well. However, it does not also filter or highlight the relevant records from the power BI dataset on the map. In our example, we have our well areas reference layer and a dataset in power BI of well locations with XY coordinates. We join the two based on well ID. We then selected a well area polygon on the map from the join tool, this filters the other visualisations in power bi, but does not filter or highlight the joined well location points on the map. It would be useful to visually see which features are joined on the map.
