field maps: filter by more than one domain in an attribute

Use case:

we have summer interns inventorying all of our county survey monuments.

If they mark a monument as "Behind a Fence" or "Private Property Permission Needed", then our surveyors will have to inventory those monuments.

The surveyors would like to filter to see both of those locations on the map at once, instead of having to filter one status at a time.

Is there a way to filter for more than one domain at a time?

It would be nice if these were checkboxes and we could filter by as many domains as we would like, instead of just one domain.

@MitchellGrafstein @TracyLove I created an idea post for this.

I think it could probably benefit a lot of users to be able to filter by multiple attribute values at once.

you could do it with a filter in a view but i dont think FM will allow you to offline package two views with the same underlying data set. but you might want to give it a try, maybe i did it wrong.

You can create more than one view off of a service and add them to a map.  (You only cannot have two layers pointing to the same service or view and have it work offline.)

The issue with offline workflows is having two views with different symbology due to having to sync and update multiple databases on the device.  Two views will create two different mobile geodatabases (SQLite databases on the device.)

In the original poster's case, a view could potentially assist with calling out the monuments that need to be updated, but if there are multiple views with different symbology, it will take two syncs to update everything.  One could also try using a dynamic view and updating the symbology, but they are a bit wonky honestly, and I'm not sure how well those work offline.

Having said all that, I believe the original poster is hoping for filtering off of more than one value using filtering in Field Maps - which would be greatly functionality to have.

Filtering in general could use a lot more added functionality in Field Maps.
