This is a bummer...

I linked my personal account to our organization.  The agency is in the process of renewing the maintenance but in the meantime I can't  unlink my personal account so I can create new personal items or maps.  I expected to at least let me create presonal stuff even if I'm still associated to an organization.  If a colleague already have a personal account it would be nice if I, as an administrator, could add him or her to the organization and eventually do not have any problems when the maintenance period ends.  Don't know if that will be the case for non administrator privileges but if that so, It will be nice not having to create or ask the users to have another account in order to avoid future problems with their existent one.  Feel free to comment...

Hi Ulises,

When you accept an invitation to join an organization using an existing account it will present the following warning:

The only way that I know to utilize the same username to create content outside of the organization would be to accept an invitation to another organization using the same credentials. Some users will choose to have multiple accounts for this reason.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick reply, Katie.  Is too bad I lost my personal account if I'm linked to an organization even as a user and ask others to create an additional accounts when we finally renew maintenance.  Feel bad for those with the same problem and will not renew.  Maybe for future reference ESRI can make this more flexible and useful.  So long my personal stuff
