Hi,

I am trying to show my 3D buildings created in a layer Package from ArcGlobe (where they show correctly) in ArcGIS Explorer 2500. In my example you can see the polygons sit under the DTM. The 2D roads (black lines) seem to drape correctly, but my 3D polygons will just not sit nicely on top of my DTM elevation source.

HELP PLEASE!! 😞

Much appreciated!

I put up an ArcGIS Explorer example here: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=e2c3646464ef49a68ffe63e046e28e57

and the layer package that the above references here: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=15ab323c78124020ac6c7269b7e1b466

It should just be a matter of getting the layer properties in ArcGlobe figured out on the elevation tab.  For all of the related layers.  Take a look at the layer properties for the package referenced above.  I set the properties for the raster layer and extruded polys to be draped on elevation. Draped on the same elevation layer, so they stay in synch.  I then copied the layers and set the properties to be floating on elevation and included an offset.  Both layers have the same offset, so they stay in synch with each other.
