Building upon the 17.1.0 and 17.1.1 releases, today we have updated Explorer for ArcGIS in the Apple App Store with some very important fixes:

  • BUG-000106480—Pop-ups are not consistently displaying values when the field alias is different from the field name.
  • BUG-000106814—Configuring custom attribute display to show multiple fields returns nothing.
  • BUG-000107080—Attachments don't display for map service layers.
  • Feature search can fail when searching integer fields using the Equals condition.
  • If the request for an OAUTH page fails when signing in, a message shows instead of a white screen.

We are already planning our next update and it will be coming very soon. A couple of important issues on our pending list include:

  • BUG-000106721—Adding shapefiles enabled for but not containing any z-values into a map stops the map from loading. The error message displayed is *The shape must have a Z value.
  • Performance improvements to the way Explorer performs queries against feature and map services.

Thank you for your continued support.

I still seem to have issues with pop-ups with features that have joined fields. Previously I could click the feature and the pop-up would appear, but it would not have any attribute information in it. Now when I click on the feature the pop-up window doesn't even open up for layers that have a join (pop-ups are enabled and configured). I also don't seem to have any searches that are working.

Jeff (or anyone else on the team!),

Where do you stand with implementing the additional offline capabilities similar to how Collector allows a specified area to be taken offline? Last I heard from the team was Fall 2017. I am hoping you may be able to shed some light on the prioritization of this feature and approximate deployment schedule.

Also, any reason why it takes so long to load data attribution in the popup for this app in comparison to Collector? It's a small nuisance, albeit a nuisance nonetheless. A faster response time of the data would be ideal.  When I compare the same dataset between Collector and Explorer, clicking on the data to bring up the popup takes approximately 10x the duration on Explorer. Meanwhile, Collector takes ~10x the duration to draw the data initially. Any plans to get the best response time to 1) initially load the spatial data and 2) load the data attribution pop-up on both applications?
