Updating a list widget contents based on a selection from another list widget

I'm working with Experience Builder developer edition and have two list widgets  Widget one has states and widget two has counties.   Both lists data are derived from corresponding map layers.   If I select a state is List #1, I'm trying to filter the available entries in List #2.   I have the action setup to filter the map layers, which works just fine, but the values in List #2 never change.   It continues to show the complete county list for the nation.   

In Dashboards you can wire it up to update other components, but I seem to be missing the obvious in EB.

For your case, the filter action should be set on the framework, not the map widget.
