I am currently developing a beta app for our experience builder. One function that's necessary in my office is viewing and exporting a list of wells within a specified distance of a point buffer. This is currently being utilized by our team in WebAppBuilder in the Incident Analysis widget:
It's a fairly straightforward app in WebAppBuilder. The functionality matrix that ESRI produced last year between the versions says the incident widget functions are now available inside experience builder. Regarding proximity; however, I wasn't able to find anything that lets me export the proximity data. The results itself can be exported as a csv; however, it just shows everything that's inside a specified buffer. Here's an example:
Inside Experience builder:
When you use the Near Me tool here's the results:
Looks good right?
When I export a copy all it does it give me a csv of all the existing attribute data for those features, but with no attribute indicating proximity. Is there something I'm missing or is this feature absent? It seems like it would be included in experience builder.
Any feedback helps!
Is this enterprise Experience Builder? I ask because the AGOL Experience Builder has the export icons in the Near Me results (I just made this screenshot this morning):
Unfortunately, enterprise EB has a two quarter lag time for new functionality so something like the Export to PDF functionality that is going to be released with tonight's update of AGOL won't actually make it into Enterprise EB until the late fall portal update.
This is in Enterprise 11.3. I'm able to download; however, it won't give a distance attribute associated with the exported data so it's just a general export of results within the near me buffer.
I did try the near me tool in our AGOL environment. While the download did sort in the order of proximity, it doesn't add a distance attribute. To me this seems like common sense but you'd think by now the Experience Builder team would've fixed this feature!
Isn't that a setting in the Near Me widget, though? Click analysis and then click on one of the layers you have chosen to include in the analysis. At the bottom is a checkbox for include distance (mine is disabled in this screenshot):
When I click on the 'include approximate distance' I don't see a difference:
I see, the 'Approximate distance' is conflated at the end of the existing attributes:
So your right it looks like this tool does work for AGOL but not in Enterprise due to the lack of 'include approximate distance at the end as indicated by the Enterprise version here':
Hi @paleo999 ,
You will find this setting in Edit analysis tab for each layer in the Configure fields to export section in the ArcGIS Online version. This option was released in Enterprise 11.4.
