Widget | SQL filter dates need "Empty" to be an acceptable answer

Can we get "Empty" to be an acceptable answer because right now, we must include one of the other options, and it makes us look un-smart to the end user? 

I found a post from 2021 that didn't get any traction, so I'm adding it here too.  We'd like to add filters "this month," "last month," and maybe "last quarter" to the drop-down menu.
