As of April 2026, all United State Government Companies need to be ADA/ Web Accessible. One of the ways ESRI suggested was to add a Language/ Translation component. While looking into Experience Builder and spending the time to migrate everything, I found out a Translation widget does not exist on app yet. It does in instant, but I would like to use experience builder. I could make a custom app, but I know that more users could benefit from having a translation app created. Is this something that can be worked on or suggested on how to improve the application. I want to be inclusive across all my apps and experience is still missing some components which makes it difficult switch over from web app builder.
This is such an important point, accessibility and inclusivity need to be built into the core of every GIS application, especially with ADA compliance requirements coming up. I agree that Experience Builder should have a native translation / language toggle widget, similar to what’s available in Instant Apps. Relying on custom code makes it harder to scale and creates inconsistency across organizations.
Having an out-of-the-box translation option would make it much easier for agencies and companies to ensure their apps are usable by all audiences, without extra development overhead. This would also help accelerate migration from Web AppBuilder by closing one of the current feature gaps.
+1 to this idea, a translation widget would directly support accessibility, inclusivity, and compliance goals, and benefit the broader Esri community.
