I have an AGS service running. I want users to be able to edit from Desktop and ArcGIS Online, and ultimately in the field. Right now, if I edit in Desktop, it shows up quickly in AGO. If I edit in AGO, it doesn't show up in Desktop. UNTIL I start an edit session. Then it immediately catches up. Why? What can I do to fix that?
