Scheduled reports in ArcGIS Enterprise? (emailed; condition-based)

ArcGIS Enterprise; Oracle

I want to set up a scheduled report based on Oracle GDB data:

  • The report/task would run weekly and would be emailed to a list of recipients (via an SMTP server)
  • The filetype could be anything (PDF, excel, or just a table in an email). The important part is that people get notified of records in a resultset by email — so that they can follow-up as needed.
  • The report would be emailed out if the resultset/count meets certain conditions (i.e. send the report if the resultset has >0 records).

Question:

Are there any mechanisms in ArcGIS Enterprise that would allow users to create and manage scheduled reports?

Hey there,

Thank you for posting your question. Reporting is something that has been a bit of a hot topic as of late. At ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9, we introduced admin usage reporting which resolves some of the questions you listed above. More info on that here:

https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/about-usage-reports.htm

https://enterprise.arcgis.com/en/portal/latest/administer/windows/work-with-usage-reports.htm

We are still working on expanding the current breadth of automated emails via SMPT, currently they can be used to inform you of expiring licenses, or password reset requests. I'll keep doing research on my end and will update this post if I find anything.

Keep on keeping on!
