How to only replicate a portion of data from Geodata service?

I am not even sure if this is possible.

Situation:

County publishes entire SDE gdb as geodata service.

City creates a two-way replica of the geodata service as an SDE on their local network... but instead of it being the complete County data set.... it is only the data within city limits?

The end goal is for County to make edits to their SDE and post to their geodata service which would reflect in the city's SDE. And for the City to make edits in their SDE, post to Geodata Service which would be reflected in County data, via a nightly sync script.

Trying to get both municipalities on the same page, just not sure how, or if even possible, to replicate an entire geodata service based on a spatial boundary (city limits)?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

For any anyone who stumbles onto this....

Figured it out. I clipped the Parent Replica in  the "Create Replica" replica wizard with Advanced Setting->Replica Geometry Features (used City Limits).

Works fine from an SDE->FGDB.

Going to test SDE->SDE

The finally Geodata Service->SDE
