I am in the process of developing a web app for maintenance employees to use to for updating data and creating new data while performing tasks in the field. My big question, is when they make their edits or add data, does this save to the web map associated with their 'group', will it save to the layer file on our server, or will it make a new layer file on our server? Trying to get an idea of standard practices for data synchronization between data being used by end users and the layer files it draws from on our sde db. Any help would be appreciated.
