The ability to retrieve your Bing Maps key using Manager has been removed at 10.1. You should visit the Esri Customer Care website or contact your Esri customer service representative to find out your key.

Take a look at webhelp: Bing Maps overview.

If you are running 10.1 then you will need SP1 and then download this patch:

ArcGIS 10.1 SP1 (Desktop, Engine, Reader) Set Bing Key Patch
http://support.esri.com/en/downloads/patches-servicepacks/view/productid/160/metaid/2003

You should then find an executable called SetBingKey.exe in the \bin folder in the location you installed ArcGIS.
The default location is Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.1\bin

The resource that @ciava.at provided has all this information for different ArcGIS releases.

ArcGIS Server 10.1+ does not support entering a Bing key anymore.  What workflow are you using to access Bing?  If you're using a web application, imbed the Bing key within the application.

I have been searching online for this information off and on for days.
Glad I checked in here. Your post solved the problem for me.
Thanks!
