Does the option "Feature Access" requires the database to be SDE?

I???m not sure if the option that enables performing editing over the web requires the database to be SDE (not file or personal)

Many thanks Domenico.

I had a look at this flowchart from your previous link that you have supplied.

My issue at this point is precise!

1. There are no ??side effects? when using the versioning without ??mover edits to base? in terms of losing capabilities such as
a. Archiving
b. Working with complex data

2. There are ??side effects? when using versions with ??mover edits to base? such as
a. Losing the archiving function
b. Losing to working with complex data

3. My understanding that the only difference between version with ??move edits to base? / without ??move edits to base? is that the edits are reflected directly to the database! Then who cares!

4. What people will lose if they choose all the time the without ??move edits to base? option EVEN IN CASE:
a.  THEY DON??T NEED TO HAVE ARCHIVING FUNCTIONS
b. THEY DON??T HAVE COMPLEX DATA

Based on what I read and the feedback, there is no need at all to have the ??move edits to base? option. We can all the time choose the option without ??move edits to base?.
