Hi....

I always fail to register my sqlserver to ArcGIS Server.

The following message was:

"The connection property set was missing a required property or the property value was unrecognized. Failed to access the DBMS server"

I can access the SQLServer from the database connection but can not register it.

Do you have suggestion for me?

Thank you

Which user are you using to register the database?

Oh, the database login. Is there one of the reason I failed?

No, not really.

Try registering from ArcCatalog if you haven't already. Create a ADMIN server connection and then use that to try and register.

Yeah, I have already done it, but I still have the same problem.

Hmm.. I did install the Native Client for SQLServer in server which I installed the ArcGIS Server.

In my case, the ArcGIS Server and SQL server are in different server.

Thank You

Did you install the 64-bit version of Native Client (assuming that your ArcGIS Server is a 64-bit machine)

40409 - Registering a database data store fails with 'Invalid database connection' or 'The data item...

Also, try to register using the IP Address instead of the Hostname an check if that helps.

I also have the same issue. Did you solve it finally?

Same issue as well using AGP 3.1.2 and ArcGIS Server 10.9.1. Anyone have any updates by chance?
