I would like to set up a development environment from our current production environment server (WS 2008 R2, ArcGIS for Desktop Advanced SP1, ArcGIS for Server 10.1 SP1).  We installed the Esri software using client provisioning files.  I was curious if ArcGIS software is amenable to sysprep and cloning, then readding the new server to the same domain.  Will this cause any licensing bug at all?

Thanks

I've never done, it but I bet it will work. I've setup Server in a VM with no probs.  Licensing should be ok (Desktop - no). If problems, delete the keycodes file and run the Software Authorization wizard again.  C:\Program Files\ESRI\License10.1\sysgen

for ArcGIS Desktop can be installed but that point the license manager that is installed on another computer then not single use activated and remove keycodes. I also never done with sysprep

You can clone the install, but not the license. If you are using concurrent use licenses, and you are not cloning the license manager, you should be fine. I hope that helps.
