Hi,

I have a table hosted on the Portal, but this table has two fields X and Y, is it possible to create points from these fields in the Map Viewer? Or publish directly from ArcGIS PRO building these points at the time of publication?

Thank´s

Sorato

Hello Sorato

In the map viewer, there is no standard tool to create points from a table. At the point when you add the table into ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise, you can create a hosted feature layer and points from X and Y stored in this tabular item. https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/publish-features.htm

In Pro you can create an XY event layer from your table which results in a new feature class with point features which you add to your map for publishing: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/tool-reference/data-management/make-xy-event-layer.htm

Here are two good tutorials more generally on this topic

Create points from a table—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

Create points on a map—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation
