ArcMap 10.7 fails to drag\drop services and ends up with “couldn’t add the specified data object to the map” warning,

Despite the fact that services can be dragged and dropped into ArcMap 10.6.1 (or earlier version), the ArcMap 10.7 fails and ends up with “couldn’t add the specified data object to the map” warning.

What could be the issue here?

Hi Jamal,

I'm able to add services from ArcGIS Server 10.6.1 by dragging and dropping without the error in ArcMap 10.7: 05.13.2019-10.38.59 

Does this happen with any other servers or just this one? Does it happen with a publisher or admin connection?

Also, sharing your REST URL publicly for testing presents some security risks, though in general this community is full of good people!

Are you bringing services from AGOL or other portal into ArcMap?  Or are you bringing services from a standalone AGS environment?

Hi Michael,

I'm bringing in map services and feature service from a AGS Server 10.6.1 environment not from Portal or ArcGIS Online, as shown in the video. Are you seeing the same behavior as Jamal in 10.7?
