ArcGis portal and server all processes do not start

Hello,

I am doing a deployment for ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 on windows server2022 VM  on premise but i am having issues with arcgis server and portal for arcgis processes. I used a domain user to execute portal, server and datastore services but, for example, for portal just tree are the ones that runs.

 and obviously, portal page don't show

The same happens with arcgis server, arcgissocs.exe don't start either.

I then delete and reinstall portal and server and use the local arcgis user (default) but i had the same result. manager do not show and arcgis server processes do not start all of them.

I disable firewall from local machine, but i continue having issue.

Any idea?

Is this a single machine deployment?

Are you using a web adaptor as part of deployment?

Hello Michael,

This is a multi machine base deployment. and yes, this will use web adaptor, but the problem we are getting is after we install and use arcgis user to manage service. all of the processes do not start and we cannot start creating site, for portal or server.

@DiegoLlamasOlivares when you installed the ArcGIS applications, are you using an Administrator account?  Is there any anti-virus software on the servers?  If so, I would see about temporarily disabling when installing.

Hello, 

I tried that, use the admin user and disable windows firewall. I will now contact IT and check if there an other security layer that i am not aware of..

Hi, 

You can check following:

Space and permissions on the portal and ArcGIS Server configuration folders. Permissions must be granted to the arcgis user used to install the components. - There must be available storage space. Often, when there is not enough space, either the portal or the ArcGIS Server Manager will not work.

Hello,  I checked permissions on C:\program files\arcgis\portal folder and E:\arcgisportal folder, and both has full control for arcgis user. Also, user is in log on as a service, space in C:\ 80GB free and E:\ 140GB free

i tried to install 10.9.1 version, instead 11.3 and I got the same error with arcgis portal and arcgis server. arcgis domain user was set as administrator, i used a domain user and a local user and i have had the same result for both, portal and server

Using URL https://localhost:7443/arcgis/home. Is it produce the same result?

You need to check if domain (arcgisent-portaladm_terrenos.local) respond.  

By including the domain in host file you can test it.

# 127.0.0.1 localhost 

to

 127.0.0.1 arcgisent-portaladm_terrenos.local

Hello,

No, it did not work changing localhost in host file. also, when i use https://localhost:7443 it redirects me automatically to https://arcgisent-portal.adm_terrenos.local:7443/arcgis/home. I also run the portal installer right click, run as administrator.
