There were no results found for "-80.722895‎, 39.934095‎" - cannot search by decimal degree in a web map now?

Hello,

I had a user ask why they can't drop a decimal degree into the search bar of a web map in portal (I believe we are on version 11.4). 

I tried it myself and get the message: There were no results found for [enter DD coordinates here]

I've optimized the search box in the settings with layers of our assets and can zoom to a name within one of those layers. And I've checked the other boxes in the map settings for ways of searching in the web map.

Now, I've found a work around, under the tools along the left menu you can force it to search by XY - no YX options - but sheesh, dropping a coordinate into the search bar is one of the simplest things we should be able to do, yes? And I've spent half the day trying to figure this out so thought I would come to the community for help.

Is it possible that it may not have shown results but pressing enter could still navigate you there? Observe this GIF here, I'm using 11.3 so it could be different:
