Problem with cartographic offset of line fill symbol

Hello,

I am trying to apply an offset to a hatched polygon symbol, but the hatched lines extend beyond the outline of the polygon.  I'm applying the same offset value to both the outline and the fill line.  Is it possible to do this?[ATTACH=CONFIG]22133[/ATTACH]

I've been having the same exact problem. Does anyone know a workaround? I am able to change the offset of the outline, but the fill symbol itself continues to have the same boundaries.

Thanks for your help, after looking into it, sounds like this would work. Unfortunately, I only have a basic license and so can't use cartographic representations.
