I would like to switch from planar to geodesic measurements in the measure widget, but all my options are grayed out, so I'm stuck in planar. Everything is in the same projected coordinate system (North American Albers Equal Area Conic), including the data frame itself.
Also, how do I tell if point distance is in planar/geodesic/etc.?
Note: sometimes it lets me measure in geodesic (and marks all measurement types as available), but if I close out of the tool and reopen it I'll be back in planar with my choices grayed out. Sometimes it switches back to planar while I'm in the middle of a measurement. Is this a bug?
