I couldn't find any posts on here about this, so I'm asking: can I set the default zoom scale of locators in my Portal? Most of our users are searching for specific parcels or addresses, and the default scale is 3 or 4 zoom levels too far out.
I know this can be configured in certain specific apps, but I would like to change this at a deeper level so that searching in any context brings users closer to the point they're interested in.
As an example, when I search for a property in Plano, Illinois, the map zooms to a level where the whole of Plano is visible. I would expect to be down to the neighborhood level at least.
I'm experiencing this issue. I locate something using a custom locator. The locator gets a result but it zooms out to 1:393,739. My result is a speck. How can I change this behavior?
@jcarlson or @JeffLegato1 did either of you resolve this? I'm having this issue in Experience Builder with a couple local locators.
Yes! Using the Search widget in experience builder, you can set a Zoom scale in the Action settings for zoom to.
Ahh, thanks! Unfortunately, we have several different layer searches configured alongside the locator search. So I think a custom zoom scale would negatively impact the other search results. 😞
We use a locator not published by our own team. I'm wondering if the locators we are using have a slightly too wide an extent set, as described here Zoom to geocode results—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation
