When users click on the waffle to create a StoryMap they are directed to this page:

Clicking on the New Story button > start from scratch - results in the program hanging, with the following displayed:

I am an administrator and am also experiencing the same, so it is not a privileges issue as some posts online suggest. What would you suggest?

There is a 404, which could be related to CORS, though i'm unsure how out ICT department would resolve this.

If CORS related, sounds this 'add new item' post request is using a different host name as the portal you signed in?

Is that an alias issue? For example, you sign in your portal with a meaningful alias of your portal server but internally the portal utilises a different or original server name as host.

If that is the case, try this one:
