Is there any way or workaround to disable Organization tab from Portal for ArcGIS home page with login Level 1 user.

Hi Vinod,

This can be resolved by creating a custom role and assigning to your Level 1 members.

The only features on the Organization page that members assigned a Level 1 license can view is the Members list. Create a custom role based on the "Viewer" role and remove the Members: View privilege. Assign this role to your Level 1 members, and they will no longer see the Organization page.

For more information on creating custom roles, checkout the following help topic: Configure roles—Portal for ArcGIS (10.6) | ArcGIS Enterprise

Thanks,
Marley

It seems as though even if you remove the Members View privilege, to no longer see the Organization Tab, at the top,,,, they still can get to the Organization Page anyway, by opening a map and then clicking on Home and it is listed in the drop down and they can still click on it there and it opens up the Organization Page that we are all trying to restrict from certain users being able to access... They also can get to all data by clicking on the My Organization as well..

Why is this not fixed yet? Don't others feel that even though we assign user privilege's and roles that none of our data is really actually restricted from any user just poking around in there AGOL or Portal login?

See Attached Screenshots

TIA for any comments or suggestions.

Is it possible to disable the member-list of groups?

If the user is member of a group he/she can see all other members of this group. Is there any possibility to disable this feature?

Hi Rainer,

There is no way to disable the visibility of the member list for members of a group in the current release of the software.

However, support for this will be added in the ArcGIS Online June release and in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.

Thanks,
Marley
